What is Meditation
Meditation is a mind and body practice that has a long history of use for increasing calmness and physical relaxation, improving psychological balance, coping with illness, and enhancing overall health and well-being. Mind and body practices focus on the interactions among the brain, mind, body, and behavior.
There are many types of meditation, but most have four elements in common: a quiet location with as few distractions as possible; a specific, comfortable posture (sitting, lying down, walking, or in other positions); a focus of attention (a specially chosen word or set of words, an object, or the sensations of the breath); and an open attitude (letting distractions come and go naturally without judging them).
About Bonnie –
Bonnie is currently on track to obtain her Masters of Metaphysical Sciences; M.Sc. Degree and she is a certified Yoga instructor with Yoga Alliance – RYT200 working towards her RYT500. She is certified in Reiki 1 and Reiki 2 and will continue the path towards Reiki Master & Energy Worker. She is a practicing medium and Tarot card reader.

This process temporarily strips you of your perceptions as you descend into a still, peaceful mindset.
Partaking in spiritual meditation often involves sitting still, allowing thoughts to come and go without judgment and bring the focus back inward to become present within the moment, and engaging in deep breathing. Some meditation techniques may involve visualizing, humming, uttering a prayer, and/or placing your hands on certain parts of your body or forming certain mudras.
Best of all, spiritual meditation is highly versatile. Different meditative practices can be altered to the individual depending on their level of expertise, their beliefs, or what suits them best.
Did you know? Although meditation has been practiced in many cultures, religions, and spiritual practices for thousands of years, spiritual meditation is not exclusive to any specific group of people. Everyone is welcome to participate!
